LANCASTER, Pa. - Johns Hopkins used a total team effort to defeat Franklin & Marshall 3-1 in volleyball at the Mayser Center Wednesday evening. Kim Jackanich and Adrienne Young combined for 25 kills to lead Hopkins (19-4, 5-1 CC) to the Centennial Conference win.

After splitting the first two games, Hopkins rolled in the final pair. The Jays defense piled up 70 digs and 12 total blocks, while the Diplomats (15-9, 3-3 CC) aided the Hopkins's cause with 40 errors resulting in Blue Jay points.

Jackanich recorded a double-double for Johns Hopkins with 14 kills and 15 digs. Amanda Lewis added 48 assists to take over the Hopkins' career assists record. She needed 14 coming in.

Franklin & Marshall got 17 kills and 18 digs from Margot Phelan. Danielle Diamond contributed 12 kills and 12 digs, while Maritza Fair posted 14 kills.

F&M returns to action on Saturday at home against Haverford. That match gets underway at 2:00 p.m.
