Results

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Alyssa Catalano placed fifth in the hammer with a hurl of 146' 5" on Thursday at the ECAC Championships, hosted by Oneonta State University. Catalano cashed in on F&M's only entry on the meet's first day, giving the women four team points for 14th place.

Jon Brallier and Lucas Burbank each took third place in their respective field events. Their efforts left the Diplomats men's track & field team in third place at the end of the first day of competition.

Burbank heaved the javelin 191' 9" to achieve an NCAA provisional qualifying mark and take third in the event. He came up 4' 4" short of Dan Mitchell, Penn State-Behrend's entry, who took first. Burbank's throw was six inches shorter than his Centennial Championship mark.

Brallier cleared the bar at 14' 5.25 inches to tie with Adam Haggerty of Southern Maine for third in the pole vault. Jake Zanetti of Cortland State won the pole vault with a 15' 5" mark.

On the track, Steven Tracy qualified for Friday's final in the 100-meter dash. Tracy's 11.13 was the fifth best qualifying time. The finals are set for 12:55 p.m. on Friday.

The two-day meet wraps up Friday afternoon.
