ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Franklin & Marshall women's track team achieved three ECAC qualifying marks, and had a host of top five finishes competing at the non-team scoring Osprey Open at Richard Stockton University Saturday afternoon.

Battling the wind, F&M's throwers had an outstanding day. Erin Gleason (Bayonne, NJ / Mt. St. Dominion) took second in the shot put and fourth in the discus. Her 118-foot heave of the disk added 15 feet to her personal record, while her shot put of 38' 0.25" gave her three feet on her personal record in that event. Both were ECAC qualifying marks.

Alysaa Catalano (Selinsgrove, PA / Selinsgrove) broke her own hammer school record and qualified for ECAC Championships with a third place throw of 136' 9" for third place. She finished the shot put in fourth place.

On the track, Karen Ziga (Haverford, PA / Haverford) won the 5,000 by almost 20 seconds with a time of 18:29.90. C.W. Post's Natalie Johnson finished the race in second at 18:49.62. Megan Hunter (Allentown, PA / Emmaus) took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:28.17. She came in behind a pair of Swarthmore runners. The Garnet's Caitlin Mularkey easily won the race at 2:21.55, followed by her teammate, Erin Ronhovde at 2:27.68. Shannon Weir (Villanova, PA / Upper Merion) took fourth in the 1,500-meter run clocking a 5:26.87.

Libby Haas (Wrightsville, PA / Eastern York) took second in the high jump clearing at 5' 0.25". She also finished fifth in the 400-meter dash at 1:02.56. That time was third amongst entrants affiliated with colleges. Vanessa Pabon's (New Oxford, PA / New Oxford) 15' 6.25" long jump was her best jump of the year in either the indoor or outdoor season. It was also good enough for fourth place. She finished in third in the triple jump.

Franklin & Marshall returns to action next Saturday at West Chester University.
