WILMINGTON, N.C. - Franklin & Marshall's women's track and field team took seventh place at the Division I-heavy, nine-team, Seahawk Invitational hosted by North Carolina-Wilmington this weekend.

Shannon Weir gave the Diplomats six team points in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, completing the circuit after a pair of John Carroll University runners crossed in 13:00.67.

Erin Gleason took sixth in the shot put for a pair of team points on the strength of a 10.73-meter hurl. Libby Haas contributed a team point with a sixth place finish in the high jump. Her mark of 1.63-meters was the best posted by a DIII competitor in her event.

Haas also took ninth in the 400 with a time of 1:04.65, and Megan Hunter grabbed an eighth place finish in the 800 at 2:30.12. Both of those marks were also the top finishes for a DIII competitor in the races.

The Diplomats are idle until March 31 when the Diplomats face-off with Dickinson and Gettysburg in the "Little Three" meet, hosted by Gettysburg.
