Women's Tennis Edges Bryn Mawr

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team rallied back from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to win four out of the six singles matches to defeat Bryn Mawr 5-4 in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday.

Dana Russo and Kelsey Tylus were 8-3 winners at No. 2 doubles for the Diplomats (3-4, 2-2 CC), while Dani Barish, Cecily Koss and Jenna Ishkanian won in straight sets at singles.

Playing at No. 1, Barish picked up a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Karen Ginsburg before Erica Wood came from behind to win 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2.

Ishkanian shut out Melissa Mansh (6-0, 6-0) for her third conference win, while Koss posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Leah Raj at the No. 5 spot.

Marie Sager and April Lee were double winners for the Owls (3-11, 0-5 CC), taking the third and sixth singles matches.

F&M returns to action on Tuesday at Dickinson. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
