Diplomats Fall to St. Lawrence

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Amanda Lesko, Courtney Mulligan, and Kelsey Tylus swept the second through fourth positions, but Franklin & Marshall fell 6-3 to St. Lawrence University. Lesko and Mulligan wrapped up the four matches at the Yale Round Robin with records of 2-2. The Diplomats fell to 0-9 on the season.

Playing in her first weekend of competition this season, Lesko recorded a pair of 3-0 sweeps, including this morning's 9-5, 9-0, 9-0 win over St. Lawrence's Jacqueline Barrett. Mulligan, who knocked off her Wesleyan opponent in five yesterday, needed four games to dispatch Erin Hart today. Mulligan dropped the first game 7-9, but rallied with a 9-0 in the second game. She closed out the match 9-5, 9-4.

Tylus also dropped her first game, 1-9, but took the next three to pick up her first win of the season. Tylus took the final three games from Laura Dobbs 9-3, 10-8, 9-6.

Franklin & Marshall returns to action on Friday at the Smith-Holyoke Invitational.
