The win was the Diplomats (3-13) second over Smith (0-20) this season, and gave F&M the right to face Haverford on Sunday for the 29th ranking in the nation. The Diplomats split the two regular season meetings with Haverford.]]></description>

Courtney Mulligan was the only Diplomat to register a point against the Bulldogs in Miranda Ranieri's 9-0, 9-1, 9-0 win at the No. 1 position. Yale swept the remainder of the ladder 3-0 with 9-0 wins at each position. Franklin & Marshall fell to 0-5 with the loss. Yale moved to 1-1 after dropping to Penn earlier in the day.
