Sept. 25, 2007
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Colleen Stuart and Kelly Vigna each scored to lead Gettysburg past Franklin & Marshall 2-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Tuesday evening. Stuart netted the game-winning goal with just 2:31 gone, sending her cross in from the right side into the far left post to help the Bullets (3-6, 2-1 CC) shut out the Diplomats (4-3-2, 1-2 CC) for the fifth straight time. Gettysburg, who held a 22-4 shot advantage, added another goal in the 61st minute. Vigna gathered a cross in the box and sent a low shot past Erin Roy to take a 2-0 lead that would stand. Roy made eight saves for F&M, while Danielle St. Pierre made two stops in the win. F&M returns to action on Saturday at Bryn Mawr. Game time is 1 p.m. |
