Katie Cogar Featured on NCAA's Blog
June 1, 2007 LANCASTER, Pa. - While winning a National Championship has propelled Franklin & Marshall's women's lacrosse team into the media spotlight, Katie Cogar's community service captured the attention of the NCAA. Cogar's work in the Lancaster Community was featured on the Double-A-Zone. The official blog of the NCAA, the Double-A Zone is an open forum for discussions to take place about issues in intercollegiate athletics. From weekly podcast interviews with NCAA President Myles Brand to regular guest posts from student-athletes, the Double-A Zone offers a number of features to keep people informed about the pressing issues of the day. Exciting and passionate conversations take place online each and every day, and the popularity of the blog has grown since its inception. As the NCAA continues to expand its new media efforts, more folks continue to come to the Double-A Zone to share their thoughts and opinions about college sports. The Association recently released the "3-Minute Drill," a video news program that takes a look around the world of intercollegiate athletics on a regular basis. |
