LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's lacrosse team earned a first round bye in the 2008 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. The defending NCAA Division III Champions will host a regional round of the tournament on Saturday, Mat 10, and Sunday, May 11.

The Diplomats (16-1) will face either Babson (15-2) or Trinity (11-6) in Saturday's regional semifinals. The Trinity Bantams will host the Beavers on Wednesday in first round action. Washington & Lee (17-2) also received a bye into the regional round at F&M. The Generals will take on the winner of Wednesday's game between Amherst (13-3) and Endicott (15-5) in Saturday's second semifinal.

The semifinal winners will battle it out on Sunday for the right to travel to Salem, Virginia, for the championship weekend.
