PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team wrapped up the two-round California (Pa.) Invitational on Monday, finishing in ninth place amongst the ten competing teams. The hosts won the primarily Division II event by 21 strokes over Humber College.

Humber produced the individual medalist in Maggie Trainor, who shaved five shots off of her 82 on Sunday to finish the tournament 15 shots over par. That gave her a three-stroke edge on Melissa Davies and Amy Vellinga of California, as well as Samantha Milosh from St. Francis.

F&M's Grace Gallagher shot a 100 on Monday, nine strokes more than she needed to complete the par 72, 6,034-yard course on Sunday. She finished in 35th place amongst the 53 golfers. Meagahn Eyler shot a combined 204 for 42nd place. Caroline Hailey, Noel Stinchfield, and Beth Holt swept 48th through 50th. The Diplomats combined for an 840, finishing well behind eighth place Ohio Valley and five strokes in front of West Chester.

The Diplomats' 409 on Sunday marks the lowest team score posted by F&M team since competition began in 2001.

F&M returns to action on Thursday at Dickinson's Invitational.
