Diplomats Raise Over $550 for "Think Pink"

Feb. 18, 2008

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team raised over $550 last Thursday night for "Think Pink" and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund, helping in the fight against breast cancer.

The Diplomats faced Ursinus in a crucial conference game, drawing a crowd of a season-high 417 fans and pulling out a 59-46 victory. The fans showed their support by wearing pink to the game and making a donation in lieu of an admission charge.

The "Think Pink" initiative was started by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association as a way to raise awareness about breast cancer. Each year, more than 700 colleges and universities around the country participate in "Think Pink" to show their support.
