Brallier Wins Pole Vault to Lead Diplomats at ECAC Men's Track Championships

SPRINGFIELD, MA – Jon Brallier (Jr., Chambersburg, PA/Mercersburg Academy) cleared 14’-9.6” to win the pole vault at the 2006 Eastern College Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Springfield College.

Brallier’s winning performance gave the Diplomats 10 team points as Franklin & Marshall stands in sixth place through one day of competition at the championships.

Overall, he tied with SUNY-Cortland’s Jake Zanetti and Stockton’s Jacob Owens at 4.51 meters, but was awarded first place based on the number of jumps each competitor took leading up to the height.

In other performances, Jake Gomolinski (So., Middletown, NY/Pine Bush Central) placed 31st in the 100 meters (11.63), while Graham Kincade (Sr., Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) placed 19th in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.19 meters.
