WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team recorded four first-place and two second-place finishes at the West Chester Collegiate Invitational on Saturday.

Megan Hunter won the 400m with a time of 58.72 and Shannon Weir followed with a season-best 4:56.66 in the 1500m for first place. Rachel Suydam was the first to cross the line in the 3000m race with a time of 11:03.46 and Alyssa Catalano rounded out the top finishers with throw of 45.70m in the hammer.

The men saw Pavel Marossine and Kwaku Anno take second in the 3000m steeplechase and long jump, respectively. Marossine ran 10:07.70 and Anno hit the 6.33m mark for the Diplomats. Anno also took 10th in the 400m dash in 51.73.

Weir and Catalano followed their first-place finishes with second in the 3000m steeplechase and shot put, respectively. Weir beat her seeded time by 5.10 seconds, clocking in at 11:54.90, while Catalano threw 11.42m.

Hunter added a fifth-place finish to her day with a time of 26.17 in the 200m. Laura Hansen took home fifth in two hurdle events, first the 100m hurdles (18.87) and then the 400m hurdles (1.17.07).

In the 1500m, Nicole DiBenedetto ran 5:08.18 for sixth overall and Kelly Farrelly posted a time of 43:18.66 in the 10,000m run for sixth place. Thrower Erin Gleason led the team in the discus with a toss of 35.51 for fourth and also finished seventh in the shot put (10.70m).

On the men's side, Ryan Bell finished fifth out of 38 in the 800m with a time of 158.57. Freddy Martino earned the second fifth-place mark, this time in the triple jump with a distance of 12.97m.

Steven Tracy was the first to cross the finish line for F&M in the 100m (11.08) and Jake Gomolinski came in 11th (11.33). Gomolinski led the Diplomats in the 200m, taking seventh out of 42 with a time of 22.59.

F&M returns to action on Saturday at the Millersville Invitational. Meet time is 11 a.m.
