Diplomats Blank Berks

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall dropped just seven games in cruising to a 9-0 win over Penn State-Berks Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 4-8 with the win, while the Nittany Lions fell to 5-7.

Armen Vartan won his fifth straight match to improve to 8-3 on the season at first singles. He breezed to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Frank Chicco this afternoon. He paired with Ben Michelman to defeat Chicco and Brad Remp at first doubles, 8-1. Michelman (4-8) was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Tim Zaborowski at second singles. The Diplomats lone 6-0, 6-0 win came at sixth singles, where Brett Joseph (2-5) defeated Eric Wanner.

The Diplomats close out the season on Sunday against Muhlenberg.
