Maldow Leads No. 22 Hopkins Over Diplomats

LANCASTER, Pa. - The No. 22 Johns Hopkins men's tennis team collected its sixth Centennial Conference (CC) victory with a 9-0 win over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.

The Blue Jays (9-5, 6-0 CC) won the three doubles matches and swept the singles matches, while David Maldow broke the Hopkins single-season singles win record with his 19th win of the season at the No. 1 spot.

Maldow, ranked second in the region, held the Diplomats' (4-4, 2-3 CC) Armen Vartan to 6-1, 6-2 to break the program record. The five other Blue Jays were double winners, including Andrew Wang at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-1). Maldow and Wang were victorious at No. 1 doubles with an 8-4 win.

F&M returns to action tomorrow against Washington. Match time is 3 p.m.
