Dickinson Defeats Diplomats

CARLISLE, Pa. - Ross Anstaett and Trevor Heck were double winners to help the Dickinson men's tennis team defeat Franklin & Marshall 6-3 in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Wednesday.

The Red Devils (6-6, 2-3 CC), ranked No. 20 in the region, won four singles matches and two out of three doubles matches for their second conference win. The Diplomats (3-3, 1-2 CC) got two wins from Noah Bachow and Matthew Barker.

Bachow earned his first win at No. 2 singles, defeating Bo Marshall in three sets with scores of 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Barker, playing for the first time at the No. 3 spot, also recorded a three-set victory over Toni Bujos (3-6, 6-1, 7-5).

Bachow and Barker joined forces to give F&M its lone doubles win with a 9-7 victory over Pavel Hejsek and Matt Wood.

Anstaett led Dickinson at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-4) and Heck was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at the No. 4 spot.

The Diplomats return to action tomorrow at Ursinus. Match time is TBA.
