LANCASTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall men's lacrosse team named seniors Mike Ohrnberger and Brendan Kearney as its team captains for the 2007-08 season under first-year head coach Todd Cavallaro.

"I am excited to have Mike and Brendan as our captains," said Cavallaro. "It is a great honor to be selected by your teammates as leaders."

Ohrnberger, a senior defender and four-year starter, grabbed 22 ground balls and caused seven turnovers in 11 starts for the Diplomats. In his sophomore year, he was an All-Conference Honorable-Mention selection after collecting 17 ground balls and forcing four turnovers.

Kearney is a midfielder who started six out of 13 games last year and scored seven goals. He brings size and strength into the midfield and will be a key player in the development of the offense.

"Mike and Brendan have shown dedication on and off the field to propel them into a captains role," said Cavallaro. "I will rely on them as well as our other strong senior leaders to help set the tone for our younger players for this season and the future of our program."
