Golfers Sit Second After Day One

ASHLAND, Va. - Franklin & Marshall's men's golf team sits in second place after the first of two rounds at the Ted Keller Invitational, being hosted this weekend by Randolph-Macon College. The Diplomats turned in a 387 to tie for second overall with Bridgewater College. The teams trail Washington & Lee University, which turned in a 383. Franklin & Marshall has one golfer in the top 20. Freshman Randy Boll shot a 75 on the 6,882-yard, par 72 Hunting Hawk Golf Course. The Diplomats other four golfers, Chuck Anttonen, Dennis Gunderson, Bryan Hartog, and Steve Colalillo each turned in a 78 on Saturday to tie for 24th place overall. Wesley College's Michael Rushin sits alone in first place having shot a 70. He holds two strokes on Washington & Lee's Michael Rushin. |
