FISHERS, Ind. - After one round, the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team is tied for 15th place amongst the 35 teams competing at this week's NCAA Division III Golf Championship. The Diplomats are locked in a three-way tie with Central (Iowa) and Salem State, each having shot a team total of 314. Rhodes College is currently in first place with a team score of 299, followed by St. John's (Minn.) at 300.

Dennis Gunderson is tied for 31st place after the first round, played out on Hawthorns Golf and Country Club's par 72 course. The Diplomat is four strokes above par. He birdied the 4th and 11th holes, but turned in six bogeys on the day. The four round tournament resumes on Wednesday morning.
