Randy Boll is tied for 2nd place in the 60 golfer field after one round at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. The Diplomats will start in third place amongst the 12 teams when the tournament's final round gets underway on Sunday.

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's golf team is in third place amongst the 12 competing teams after day one at the McDaniel Spring Invitational. The weekend tournament is being played at The Bridges, a par 72, 6,713-yard course that will serve as the site for this season's Centennial Conference Championships.

F&M turned in a combined 320 and is five strokes behind tournament leader, St. John Fisher at 315. Susquehanna is in second with a 318, followed by F&M, Wesley (325) and McDaniel (327).

F&M has four golfers in he top 15, lead by Randy Boll, who is in a four-way tie for second place having shot a 77 (+5). Chuck Anttonen, Steve Colalillo, and Andrew Woods are involved in the five-way tie for 13th. They each carded an 81 (+9).

St. John Fisher's James Ozzello is the leader at 75 (+3). The golfers battled a steady 17 mph wind throughout the day, leading to the inflated scores. There are 60 players in the field.

The tournament wraps up Sunday morning.
