Murray Named Player of the Week

Oct. 29, 2007

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall running back Ryan Murray was named the Centennial Conference's Offensive Co-Player of the Week for his efforts in Saturday's win at McDaniel.

Murray carried 37 times for 215 yards and a touchdown in the Diplomats' 24-17 overtime victory. He also caught four passes for 13 more yards. Murray is the first Diplomat to rush for over 200 yards since Scott Stephen ran for 213 yards against Gettysburg in 2002.

Murray is just the second Diplomat to earn Player of the Week honors this season. Quarterback Kyle Turner was named the Offensive Player of the Week following the 28-27 loss to Catholic on September 29.

Murray shares the weekly honor with Muhlenberg quarterback, Eric Santagato. He threw four touchdown passes in the final 33 minutes as the Mules overcame a 17-0 deficit to defeat Dickinson, 29-24. Two of his scoring tosses came on fourth down. Santagato was 13-of-23 through the air for 160 yards.
