2008 Football Schedule Unveiled

March 24, 2008

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall released its 2008 football schedule on Monday. The upcoming slate features the same ten teams as the 2007 season and a minor variation on the order in which they are played.

The Diplomats open with Washington & Lee at home on Saturday, September 6, and face another Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent the following week when the Diplomats travel to Catholic. F&M will once again open its Centennial Conference (CC) slate with Dickinson under the lights. This year's game will be played under lights at Dickinson. F&M will host Juniata the following week in the CC home opener before taking a weekend off.

The back-end of the schedule features six CC games, three at home beginning with Ursinus, and three on the road including back-to-back trips to the Lehigh Valley in late October. The season wraps up with traditional rival Gettysburg.

Under second-year head coach John Troxell, the Diplomats posted a 4-6 (4-4 CC) record. F&M closed the season with three-straight wins.
