Box Score

CLAREMONT, CA - Franklin & Marshall rolled up 11 of its 12 hits and 10 of its 11 runs in the first four innings of an 11-4 win over Wesleyan Tuesday evening. The win was the Diplomats (3-4) second over the Cardinals (5-5) in as many meetings, both of which have been played in Southern California.

Shea Moriarty was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and as many RBIs, while Andrew Hanson went 3-for-5 with four runs driven in.

Freshman Mike Duranti (1-0) worked six scoreless innings to pick up his first collegiate win. He limited Wesleyan to five hits, while striking out one batter. All three pitchers that took the hill for F&M were freshman.

Wesleyan's runs all came in the seventh, with Alex Early doing the bulk of the damage with a two-run triple. He came in on a sacrifice fly.

The Diplomats improved to 3-4 on the season. F&M returns to action on Wednesday against Rutgers-Newark at Pomona-Pitzer.
